As many of you may know, I am not the best writer so please be patient with me.
Well our journey to this point started seriously about 2 years ago. We had been trying to conceive a child since 2005 and in 2007 we seeked outside help to see if there why we were unable to conceive. They placed me on a low dose fertility pill that was supposed to help. After approximately seven months we took a break and just tried naturally. At the end of 2008 we went to a specialist, at which time we discovered part of the problem was me. We took a few months to discuss our options whether to continue with infertility treatments or just go straight to adoption. In March, 2009 we decided to go forward with artificial Insemination treatments. We tried this for six months, everything with both of us was looking really good, but still no luck. After the last pregnancy test came back negative I prayed very hard to God to please show me a sign to guide me down his path. The next day we went back to the Doctors at which point we were informed that we could go forward with invitro but that it was very expensive and they weren't sure it was going to work. Right then it became very clear to us that it was always Gods plan for us to adopt.
Right away I started researching different types of adoption. After much research, we decided that the best path for us was a domestic foster care adoption through an agency. Now it was time to start researching different Agencies and what a lot of research that was. (I'm glad we had help) After a lot of time researching, we finally found an agency we thought was a good one. So on September 2nd we attended our first adoption orientation meeting with our parents at Family Connection Christian Adoption. After this meeting we all realized very quickly that this was the agency for us. They were very welcoming, nice and caring about what they do and how many children they help find great loving permanent homes.
