Monday, July 26 - Disclosure Meeting

On Monday, July 26 we went for our disclosure meeting w/ both our SW and the childrens SW. This was a meeting where they were to tell us "everything" that the county knows about the children, their past, their parents and their current circumstances. This was a long meeting, it took about 3 hours, but obviously worth it. Raf and I went in with our own little signals to show each other if we were still sure we wanted to proceed with being their parents or if we wanted time to talk about it. At the end of the meeting we both signaled that we were sure these were meant to be our babies. When we let the SW's know, they were both in shock because they said most families go home, talk about it and then let them know their decision the next day. I think the difference with us was that we had already talked about what were going to be issues, what were things to talk about and what were things we were willing to take on. These boys aren't coming with the perfect situation, but then again no kid is perfect. At the meeting we were able to see pictures of the boys, but unfortunately they were black and white. These boys are all so beautiful!! Now we just have to wait for their SW to call us with a time, date and place for us to meet the boys.
