Talk w/ Foster Mom

On Tuesday, July 27 I received our first call from the childrens foster mom. She was calling us to talk about setting up a time and a plan for us to meet the boys. We agreed that Saturday, July 31 at 12:30 would be a great time for us to come over and have lunch with them. However, due to the fact that the boys are just going to find out from their counselor on Thursday that they were not going to be staying with their current family and that they were going to be going to a new home, we thought it might be a little too much for the boys to meet us as their new parents yet. So we are going over as if we are friends of the parents just there for lunch. We hope that the boys will not put 2 and 2 together yet, but if they do we will all be there to support them. We are just so excited that we can't wait to meet our new babies.
After this, we will schedule another visit with the boys still as friends and then after that visit the foster parents are going to start explaining to the older boys that we are to be there new parents. That way it is maybe a little easier for them to process since we will have met a couple times already. Then we will continue visits with them which will get longer and longer each time and then eventually we will due an overnight visit, then a weekend visit or two and then they will hopefully come home for good. YEAH!!!!!
